WELCOME

Welcome to the official web site of the Charlottetown Radio Control Flying Club. We are a radio control model aeronautics club whose goal is to promote and enjoy safe flying of RC model aircraft.

The club was started in 1962 under the name the "Charlottetown Model Airplane Club" by several individuals who were interested in building and flying model airplanes, primarily control line and free flight. The club has evolved over the years and encompasses almost every facet of radio control flying.

2011 Mall Show
    April 28, 2011 — Gary Stephen

Our 2011 mall show has now come and gone and I would like to thank all the members and sponsors who made it such a success.  Thanks to our good griends at Tents for Events for suppling the tables, Great Hobbies for donating the Blade CX2 helicopter, and to the Charlottetown Mall for providing the space.

We did end up with a much smaller display this year because our regular spot in the mall was being used that same weekend.   Even so the feedback from the general public was very favorable and we had many people finding out about us and trying the simulator for the first time.

Great day winter flying.
    February 1, 2011 — Gary Stephen

We had a great day winter flying on O'Keefes Lake thanks to Ron's hard work prepairing the site.   We had two runways and could fly off both wheels or skies.  The weather conditions were perfect and we had aircraft in the air all afternoon.   Hope to see folks out every Sunday weather permitting.
